2000 - PRESENTSenior Graphic Designer // The Homesteader Newspaper, Mass Publishing Co., Inc.
Responsible for the creation of all graphic design elements for the entire company as well as the production cycles for The Homesteader Newspaper. Back in 2000, when I was hired, the company was 10 years old and had a loose design style guide. I jumped at the chance to create a new concise look, an updated logo, and graphic designs that were used in all company materials. In essence, focussing the brand and the look of the newspaper, as well as all marketing literature into a new design family.• Oversaw monthly production of newspaper, including graphic design, ads, photo-editing, and editorial layout
• Implemented new style-guides and streamlined monthly production process of 8 eastern MA editions
• Created major graphic redesigns for newspaper elements in 2002, 2004 & 2009
• Created advertisements and communicated directly with clients to ensure specific advertising goals were met
• Crafted all marketing literature, including rate cards, brochures, sales kits, stationary and other B2B promotions
• Communicated with printers and other vendors to ensure quality production of printed materials
• Designed E-mail marketing flyers and assisted in online sales lead research
